Here’s Slomo’s first born….
He smells good, but not sure if he looks as good as he should…he’s kinda flat and the smile was more closed than open, if that makes sense. 🤷♀️

Wondering @sinlesssourdough@gmail.com could the flat issue be because it was on the wrong rack in the oven. Where should the rack be?

I think it could be yeast related did you use the one she recommend and did you have double action baking powder???

@famillerodriguehotmail-com thanks Nancy, ya…I used her suggestions for both, so not sure why so flat. Trial and error I guess.

Christine when you are shaking the dough for proofing it’s important to stretch the top a few times. Watch the video on proofing. That stretching is what creates the oven spring. And preheat your Dutch oven a bit longer.

@sinlesssourdough@gmail.com Thanks Shari. I stretched the top along with your video and even a little longer, however, I realize now what may have happened. When I went to get the dough after the bulk fermentation stage it stuck a bit to the tea towel, so it may have stretched a bit. I’ll make sure to flour better next time. The dutch oven was preheated for 30 minutes. I’ll try 40 next time.
